This Wicked Wolverine Workout Will Shred Your Body Fat

When it comes to indestructible savagery and macho facial hair, no character quite does it like Wolverine. With the mutant power of regeneration, animal-quick reflexes, and huge retractable claws, Wolverine also has an adamantium-plated skeleton which makes him an all-around badass.

Hugh Jackman has become synonymous with Wolverine and has played the role in every X-Men film including Deadpool 2.

You might not have the same metal claws or impressive sideburns, but you'll be ready to join the X-Men after this workout inspired by Wolverine.

WORKOUT PREP

The routine below is bodyweight centric and adapted to incorporate jump rope. Though, even our favorite ropes wouldn't last a second against Wolverine's claws. :)

Before any workout, we encourage you to warm up and stretch. Wolverine probably can't even get cramps, but you're not him so... yeah.

WORKOUT ROUTINE

All you need is your body for this Wolverine workout. Besides your jump rope of course.

NOTE: Supersets are intended to be done in sequence. Meaning you’ll do one set of the first exercise immediately followed by one set of the second exercise.

Superset A

  • Air Squats - 3 sets x 15 reps (each side)

  • Chinups - 3 sets x 10 reps

Superset B

  • Pullups - 3 sets x 10 reps

  • Plyo Pushups - 3 sets x 15 reps

Superset C

  • Hanging Leg Raise - 3 sets x 15 reps

  • Walking Pushups - 3 sets x 15 reps

Superset D

Superset E

  • Freestyle Jump Rope (Intense) - 30 seconds

  • Plank Up Downs - 30 seconds

Instructions

  • Rest 30-60 seconds between each superset.

  • Complete this routine 3-4 times a week.
