A mat makes it easy to jump rope on just about any surface from concrete to dirt. The coolest thing about jumping rope is that you can really get out there, enjoy the world and make getting lean a fun process.

CrossRope Jump Rope Mat

Let's get to our jump rope mat breakdown. We'll go over the specifications of our favorite mat and also share a few reasons why it's important to have a jump rope mat in general.

Specs

The biggest difference between this mat and other jump rope mats is that this one is bigger so you have more room to jump rope. Most mats are about 4 feet long and this one actually measures in at 5 feet long and 2.5 feet wide. This mat is a quarter inch thick which adds cushioning for your joints, ankles and knees to helpyou avoid injury. This is very important, especially if you are trying to jump rope consistently and avoid getting hurt.

Why Invest In a Mat

One of the biggest reasons for investing in a mat is simply being able to jump rope anywhere you want. This whole fitness lifestyle is about jumping rope all over the world, getting outside and having fun. A jump rope mat allows you do that. It doesn’t matter if you're on grass, gravel, rock or sand - just put the mat down and you can get into your jump rope workout.

One of the biggest benefits of a jump rope mat is that it extends the life of your rope. A lot of you start to see jump ropes tear after using them on concrete for about 6 or 9 months. Jump rope mats are great at preserving your rope because they are also made of PVC and don't cause as much friction or wear and tear. So a great way to extend the life of your jump rope is by simply jumping on one of these mats, jumping inside or on a softer surface.

A Note About Mats

Although you can do tricks on mats, we find that they are best for doing regular jump rope workouts. The reason being is that there isn’t a ton of room on the mat, so if you are trying new tricks it may be more difficult to stay on the mat. With that being said the CrossRope mat is one of the biggest on the market so it's as good as it gets. Just keep in mind that you won't be using this mat to work on crazy tricks; it'll be more like your standard every day mat for getting your daily workouts in.

Do The Thing

We really make it our goal to support you on your jump rope journey and ensure that you have fun working out. That's why we wanted to share this jump rope mat with you and show you all the great ways it can make your jump rope routine even better. With a mat, you can take your workouts anywhere you want, no matter the surface while still protecting yourself from injuries. It's all about having a good time, so get out there, have fun while jumping rope and do the thing!
