Each and every week we’re celebrating some of the most incredible fitness transformations from people just like you in our community. Each one of these stories is relatable and inspiring and we hope that each one helps you get one step closer to your own body transformation. This week, we’re going to introduce you to Marcelo – a really cool dude who got excited about jumping rope and changed his life and body as a result.
Marcelo’s Story
Marcelo has always enjoyed working out and had some success in his early 20’s when it came to his fitness regimen. He would hit the gym hard for 1-2 hours every day and was able to lose 17 pounds. However, over the years he started to get busier with work and family and by the time he hit 30 he had gained some weight. One day, he woke up decided he had to do something about his weight and he really wanted to get back in shape.
How Marcelo Did It
At this point, Marcelo weighed 186 pounds and started hitting the Stairmaster daily for a month, but he just couldn’t seem to get the excess weight off. This was super frustrating, because he was spending a ton of time in the gym, but wasn’t seeing the results he expected. Then one day he was surfing YouTube and came across the Jump Rope Dudes. He immediately signed up for our free 4-week challenge and started jumping rope for just 30 minutes a day. At the beginning he found the workouts to be super hard and often times he couldn’t make it through all sets of the workouts. He didn’t give up though and he leaned on our Facebook community for tips and motivation.
Eventually, he started getting the hang of jump rope and he entered into our Shredded Ninja Workout Plan. Over the 12-week program, he got in better and better shape until he finally reached his fitness goals. He has lost 22 pounds and now loves living the jump rope lifestyle. Marcelo first started jumping rope in March 2017 and he’s been doing the thing ever since.
Marcelo also dialed in his nutrition to get the body he wanted. In his 20’s Marcelo’s nutrition consisted largely of eating very little food or eating foods that he just didn’t like. This made it really hard for him to get consistent and lasting results because he constantly felt like nutrition was a chore and he wasn’t enjoying himself. Once he started watching our nutrition videos, he realized that he could still eat the foods he loved; he just had to make sure to eat the right amount. With a combination of consistent exercise and following our nutrition protocols including fasting, he has transformed his body and his life.
