We’re back this week, shining the limelight on an incredible member of our community who has transformed his body and his life. Each week we feature one of these amazing body transformations and share the hard work and effort that led to success. Every one of these transformations features a relatable backstory and an inspiring journey of how these people conquered everything from lack of motivation to significant weight gain to reach their fitness goals. We’ll celebrate their success and show you how you can also find a fitness program that actually works for you. This week, we’re going to introduce you to Kacper, an awesome dude who was overweight and needed to take back control of his body and life. The man jumped a lot of rope, paid attention to his nutrition and lost a ton of weight.
Kacper’s Story
Kacper started his fitness journey when he was just 15 years old and joined his local gym. He worked out hard, but was super bored at the gym and wasn’t seeing any results. He felt tired all the time, weak and after 3 months he gave up. Next he tried home workout videos, but he just didn’t find them fun so he gave up on those too. Like a lot of people, he just wasn’t into the traditional fitness methods and so he lost his motivation to do the thing. Over the next couple years he gained so much weight that he got all the way up to 231 pounds. That was when he decided enough was enough and that he had to do something.
How Kacper Did It
After some browsing of different fitness channels on YouTube he found the Jump Rope Dudes and that’s when he started to finally build some positive momentum. He started with some of our beginner videos and over time graduated onto more advanced jump rope workouts. The difference this time around was that Kacper was actually enjoying his fitness routine. So much so that he started jumping rope every single day. In just 5 months, he has lost an insane 62 pounds! His routine consists of about 40 minutes of jump rope training a day and because it’s so fun he now looks forward to these workouts. He loves this new jump rope lifestyle so much that he’s even got his friends doing the thing too.
Since Kacper’s main goal with jumping rope was to lose weight and have fun, he focused on high intensity jump rope workouts rather than building muscle. By jumping rope for at least 30 minutes 5 to 6 times per week and following our nutrition protocols, he was burning more calories than he was consuming which led to his weight loss.
How You Can Do It
If your main fitness goal is to lose weight like Kacper’s was, you need to dial in two things: fitness and nutrition. When it comes to nutrition, you need to be in a calorie deficit if you want to lose weight. All that means is that you consume fewer calories than you are expending. To find out exactly how many calories you should be consuming each day, check out our Nutrition Calculator. It’s a really simple tool that lets you plug in your information including weight, height, and fitness goals and it’ll tell you how many calories to eat. It’ll also tell you the right amount of macronutrients including carbs, fats and proteins that you should eat every day. If you hit these numbers consistently, you’ll start to see weight loss just like Kacper did.
In terms of fitness, if you want to lose weight you need to start moving your body. A lot of times, people get discouraged by boring gym workouts or just can’t seem to find a rhythm. That’s why we jump rope. We think it’s the most fun form of exercise out there, we have a great time doing it and it’s also a great way to reach your weight loss goals. If you’re a beginner, we recommend starting out with our free 4-week jump rope challenge where you can begin to build jump rope into your regular routine. Do The Thing
Kacper’s fitness journey has been an awesome success story, but it wasn’t easy. While the workouts and nutrition are simple enough, it takes a lot of dedication and commitment to get results like he did. You can be successful just like him and get the body you want if you jump rope consistently and eat the right amount of food. Have fun with the jump rope, stay consistent and you’ll see the results you want. Until next week’s inspirational transformation, stay motivated, move your body in ways that make you happy and just do the thing!
