Get Fit Like Chris Pratt and Discover a Body from Another Galaxy

When you think of Chris Pratt, you either think of his adorably chubby character from Parks & Rec or his jacked, maverick character from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Chris Pratt went through an incredible transformation to become Star-Lord and this workout is an example of how he got there.

A marvelous misconception

Before donning the coolest jacket in the MCU, Chris Pratt had gotten particularly out of shape and his effort to transform his physique was dedicated.

One of the misconceptions many people have about celebrities who train their bodies for a role is that it’s somehow different than how a “regular” person would train.

Getting in shape has a lot to do with busting your ass in the gym (or in the backyard with your jump rope).

This full-body workout routine will give you the tools to train your body to be ready to guard the galaxy like Chris Pratt.

You can grab our warm-up routine by signing up for the FREE 4-week challenge. You’ll receive a complete program to get you started jumping rope on the regular while losing weight and burning fat.

Here’s the list of equipment you’ll be using:

  • Barbell

  • Squat rack

  • Dumbbells

  • Flat bench

  • Ab mat

Workout Routine

  • Squat (Barbell) – 5 sets of 10 reps

  • One Arm Rows (Dumbbell) – 3 sets of 8-10 reps

  • Bicep curls (Barbell) – 3 sets of 8-10 reps

  • Chest Flys (Dumbbell) – 3 sets of 10-12 reps

  • Bench Press (Barbell) – 4 sets of 6-8 reps

  • Situps (Ab mat) – 3 sets of 10-12 reps

This is just one version of a full-body workout which is the strategy used by Chris Pratt’s trainer to get him in galactic shape.

The important thing is less about the workout itself vs what you bring to the workout.

There are three things no trainer, fitness expert, or gym can sell you is your discipline, will, and desire. That is what YOU bring to the table.

Those three factors are what make or break your success with training (and in life, right?)

If you want to look like an A-list actor, you’ve gotta show up to train hard and bring your A-game. Whether you’re at the gym, your living room, or the beach.

Nebula-worthy Nutrition

We can’t talk about getting fit enough to guard the galaxy without mentioning nutrition.

While Chris Pratt likes his snacks during football season, you can bet an infinity stone he took nutrition seriously while training for his blockbuster appearances. You can even scroll through his Instagram for evidence.

So what does that mean for you?

Well, if your goal is to fill out that stellar Star Lord jacket like Pratt, you’ve gotta be intentional about your caloric intake.

  1. If you’re slim and want to bulk up, you need to eat a calorie surplus in addition to working out.

  2. If you’re already on the bulky side, you can lean out by maintaining a daily calorie deficit.
